This was our schools first musical in covid conditions and inside the theatre, all participating members wore masks while inside including the actors/signers. This was a collaboration between the choral, theatre and orchestral departments where all were included in the production. 

I co designed lighting with Amy Shaw and Isabelle Schunk and our overall concept circled around jewel tones and contrast. We used the tones from the rose window of Notre Dame throughout our design and kept a large contrast between light and dark to both separate areas of the stage and add feelings of darkness. This musical is about the contrast between hope and the darkness of life so we used the juxtaposition between light and dark to convey this. 

We worked with both conventional and LED lights and even got to include SFX in our design with a haze machine and a fog machine.

We worked with follow cues, links and loops and even created effects throughout the shows which included the fog machine.
