I am a transfer student who has been doing theatre since her freshman year of high school. I got introduced by a friend who was in the theatre program and did a lot of lighting. I worked under a lot of people but the two that inspired me the most were Lexie and Olivia. I did a lot of crew and tech work because I didn't feel like I'd been doing theatre long enough to try and design or go for anything bigger. I worked up the courage to ask if I could join the class Theatrical Production my senior year and have now had so many amazing opportunities because of it. My favorite design process so far has been The Hunchback of Notre Dame because I got to work in the theatre instead of outside and was able to combine special effects and lighting. I hope to continue doing technical theatre at some point in college.
